Heart of Texas (HOT) Lab Rescue, Inc. is a all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and placing stray and abandoned Labradors in loving forever homes.
Since 1999, HOT Lab Rescue has addressed the growing number of Labradors that were being euthanized in Central Texas. They have rescued and placed close to 900 Labradors in loving homes throughout Central Texas.
HOT Lab is a rescue that relies on its volunteers to foster many of the dogs that come into the program. Rescued dogs, awaiting a foster home. are placed in a safe kennel pending an opening in one of our foster homes.
Each year, the groups takes in several special-case dogs. One of these is Lance (above), who was mauled by other dogs and required several thousands of dollars of surgery.
