Caring for the world's Sweet Dogs

Heart of Texas (HOT) Lab Rescue, Inc. is a all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and placing stray and abandoned Labradors in loving forever homes. Since 1999, HOT Lab Rescue has addressed the growing number of Labradors that were being euthanized in Central Texas. They have rescued and placed close to 900 Labradors in loving homes throughout Central Texas. HOT Lab is a rescue that relies on its volunteers to foster many of the dogs that come into the program. Rescued dogs, awaiting a foster home. are placed in a safe kennel pending an opening in one of our foster homes.

Each year, the groups takes in several special-case dogs. One of these is Lance (above), who was mauled by other dogs and required several thousands of dollars of surgery.
Heart of Texas Lab Rescue has never strived to be the largest placer of Labradors, but the best placer of Labradors. Through careful selection of their our applicants, they continue to achieve this goal.

To all the hot dogs...be cool

Organic Summer Dog Treats for your favorite Dog 0r Puppy
Pupsicles
(from the kitchen of Sweet Dog Organics)

32oz. organic nonfat plain yogurt
2 mashed organic bananas
1/2 c. organic peanut butter
1/4 c. organic fresh or frozen blueberries (optional)

Mix ingredients together and fill one of the following:
2-3 ice cube trays or
3 oz Dixie cups or
24 kid's mini cones**

Freeze until solid. For easy serving, store individual cubes or mini cones in a ziplock freezer bag. If you use the paper Dixie cups, remove before serving.
